This is simple, easy and delicious.
I gotta tell you that this is a half recipe, and it makes
6-8 servings, depending on the size of the diners’ appetites. Just chop
ingredients, open cans, add prepared seasonings, throw everything in a pot,
bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and cook for a couple of hours.
Ingredients
- CARROTS, 2, chopped
- ONION, 1 large, chopped
- CABBAGE, 1/2 large head, chopped
- BELL PEPPER, 1 green, diced
- CELERY, 3 stalks, chopped
- (Optional) ITALIAN SAUSAGE, 3, crumbled or diced
- CANNED TOMATOES, 1 16-ounce can whole peeled, stewed, or chopped,with liquid
- DRY ONION SOUP MIX, 1 envelope
- CUT GREEN BEANS, 1 can, with liquid
- TOMATO JUICE (V8 is good), 1 quart
- BEEF BROTH, 1 can
- ITALIAN SEASONING, 1 tablespoon
- GARLIC SALT and GROUND BLACK PEPPER
Directions
- Chop veggies, break up sausages, open cans, add prepared seasonings, throw everything in a pot.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and cook for a couple of hours.
